  • What size range do you offer?
    As a bespoke lingerie company, we do not adhere to standard sizing. All garments are tailored to your specific measurements. We can accommodate any body size or shape and will recommend styles during your consultation that are best suited to your needs and preferences.
  • What should I bring to my consultation?
    Please wear your best-fitting bra to the consultation, as we will be taking measurements in underwear only for the most accurate fit. For in-home fittings, it’s best to have a private space where we can conduct the fitting discreetly to ensure your comfort and modesty. If you are requesting a custom color or style, we recommend bringing any inspiration photos, fabric preferences, or specific design ideas to the consultation.
  • Where can I get fitted or attend an appointment?
    At Greymade Studios in Montclair, NJ or in-home for an additional fee.
  • Do you offer virtual consultations and fittings for clients outside your service area?
    Yes, we can arrange virtual consultations and fittings for clients who live outside our service area. However, please note the following requirements and considerations: 1. Self-Measurements: Clients must be comfortable taking accurate self-measurements or have assistance to ensure precision. 2. Extended Production Time: Virtual fittings add an additional 2-4 weeks to the production timeline to allow for shipping and any necessary adjustments. 3. Additional Costs: Due to shipping and potential fit adjustments, additional costs may apply. If you’re interested in a virtual consultation, please contact us to discuss the details and requirements.
  • How do I pay?
    The process for purchasing a custom garment from Greymade begins with an initial in-person consultation where precise measurements are taken. Prior to this consultation, a $25 deposit is required. Once the design is confirmed, an invoice with the total fee will be sent for your review. Production will begin only after payment is received. We accept payment via cash, credit card, Zelle, Venmo, and Apple Cash.
  • What is Membership?
    Membership is offered by invitation to current and past customers. It provides a space where members can review their personal design files, including measurements, design specifications discussed during fittings, fabrics, colors, and more. Members also gain access to exclusive discounts, a repair portal, private events, and other special perks.
  • Do you offer gift cards or vouchers?
    Yes, we offer gift cards and vouchers that can be redeemed toward any custom lingerie piece or sets. Please contact us for more details on how to purchase or redeem them.
  • How long does it take for my lingerie to be made?
    Our typical production time is 3-4 weeks, depending on our current workload. Delays may occur if your fittings are scheduled far apart, so we recommend booking fittings promptly after being contacted to keep the process moving.
  • Can I make adjustments after my final fitting?
    Minor adjustments can be made after the final fitting; however, significant changes may incur additional charges, depending on the complexity of the alteration. Please communicate any required adjustments as soon as possible to avoid delays.
  • Can I place a special order for a style or color not listed on the site?
    Yes, we can accommodate special orders for custom colors or style modifications, depending on the timing and specific requirements. Special orders will require additional production time of 4-5 weeks and may incur additional fees based on design complexities and production costs. Please plan accordingly, especially for events such as weddings or other special occasions.
  • Can I cancel an order once production has begun?
    If you choose to cancel after production has started, you are entitled to a full refund minus the $25 consultation fee, as long as cancellation occurs before the Final “Forward” Fitting or Step 4 in the design process. After Step 4, a 50% refund will be issued due to the bespoke nature of the work.
  • How do I care for my lingerie?
    Our lingerie is crafted from luxurious fabrics like silk charmeuse and other delicate materials to bring you both comfort and elegance. Follow these easy steps to keep your pieces in beautiful condition for years to come: Hand Wash Instructions 1. Prepare a Cool, Gentle Bath: Fill a clean sink or basin with cool water, adding a few drops of a gentle detergent such as Woolite or another lingerie-safe wash. 2. Separate Colors: Always wash light and dark colors separately, as darker dyes may still bleed slightly in the first few washes. 3. Submerge and Soak: Place your lingerie in the water and gently swish it around. Let it soak for about 10–15 minutes to loosen any oils or residue. 4. Rinse Gently: Empty the basin and refill with fresh, cool water. Lightly swish to rinse out the detergent, being careful not to rub or wring. 5. Press Out Excess Water: Lay your lingerie on a clean towel and roll it up gently to press out any remaining water without twisting or wringing. Machine Wash (When You’re in a Pinch) If you’re short on time, you can machine wash—just remember: 1. Use a Lingerie Bag: Place each piece in a separate lingerie bag to protect delicate fabrics. 2. Select the Delicate Cycle: Choose the gentlest, cold water setting on your machine. 3. Separate Colors: As with hand washing, keep light and dark colors separate to avoid any color transfer. 4. Use a Mild Detergent: Only use a small amount of Woolite or similar detergent. Dry with Care 1. Lay Flat to Dry: To prevent stretching and maintain the shape, lay your lingerie flat on a clean, dry towel, reshaping if needed. Avoid hanging, as it can distort delicate fabrics. 2. Keep Away from Heat: Never tumble dry or place silk in direct sunlight; air drying in a shaded, cool area is best.
  • Do you offer repairs for lingerie?
    Yes, we offer in-house repairs to ensure the longevity of your custom lingerie. Our team can replace worn materials such as elastics and closures, as well as fix tears or worn areas where possible. Most repairs are provided for a flat fee of $25, but more complex repairs may incur additional costs depending on the nature of the work. Please contact us for an assessment and to discuss the repair options available for your garment.
  • What is the Garment Recycling Program?
    We’ve established a Garment Recycling Program to help extend the lifecycle of our products and reduce waste. Once your Greymade garment has reached the end of its lifespan, you can return it to us for proper recycling. As a thank you for participating, you’ll receive a discount on a future order. This program is part of our commitment to sustainability and ensuring that our garments are responsibly recycled.
  • How do you handle my personal information and privacy?
    We take your privacy very seriously. All personal details, including measurements, design preferences, and any other information shared during consultations, are kept strictly confidential. We will never share your information with any third party without your explicit consent. Your privacy and discretion are our top priority.
  • What if I have medical conditions, allergies, or special needs/ requests for my garments?
    If you have any skin allergies to specific fabrics, medical conditions requiring design modifications, or other special requests, please let us know during the consultation. We will work closely with you to accommodate your needs and ensure the final design is comfortable and safe for you. Additional fittings for those with more complex morphologies and needs may be required. All of your personal information, including medical details, is kept strictly confidential and will never be shared without your consent.
